Dr. Kavita Lalchandani is the Principal at K. C. Law College, Mumbai, Dean (Ag), Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies and Former Registrar (Ag), H.S.N.C. University, Mumbai. She has vast experience of more than 29 years in the subjects of law.

Dr. Kavita Lalchandani started her career as an Advocate. She joined as a Full-time faculty at G. J. Advani Law College, Bandra, Mumbai. She also served as a principal for more than 9 years in the said College at Bandra. Thus, she has an experience of holding position of Principal at two law Colleges. Her main areas of interest are Family Laws, Human Rights and issues related to women.

Looking at her ardor and knowledge in the field of law she became member of Mumbai Legal Aid Services Authority appointed by the Government of Maharashtra. She is presently the Chairperson, Board of Studies, Faculty of Law, HSNC University, Member of Board of Studies, Faculty of Law and Visiting Faculty, Dept. of Law, University of Mumbai and also member of Board of Studies in autonomous Colleges i.e. K. J. Somaiya College and Thakur College, Mumbai. She is also a guide for Ph.D. in Law at University of Mumbai and JJT University, Rajasthan. She is also a member of various other committees at University of Mumbai. She has been appointed as an expert for various competitive exams conducted by various State Governments. She was the Member of Internal Complaints Committee in one of the Corporate firms.

Dr. Kavita Lalchandani has also published many articles in reputed journals and has also presented many papers at International, National and State Level Conferences and Seminars. She has been invited as a Panel Member of Lok Adalat conducted by Mumbai Legal Aid Services Authority. She is invited as a Resource Persons in Seminars, Conferences and lectures across the country.

Dr. Kiran Sharma is the Vice Principal of K. C. Law College, Mumbai. Her specialization in LL.M. was Human Rights & Environmental Laws and she has done Ph.D. on the topic “Domestic Violence Against Women: A Socio- Legal Study”.

She has a vast experiennce of more than 18 years in the field of Law. She had been a practicing advocate in the Allahabad and Mumbai High Courts from 1988-1998. She has taught for LL.B., LL.M., Pre-PhD courses and IAS Classes. She is a recognized PG teacher and a Guide for Ll.M. Dissertations. She has been a Ph.D. Guide in SNDT Women’s University and J.J.T.U, Rajasthan. Four students have been awarded Ph.D under her guidance. Currently she is a Ph.D. guide at K.C. Law College and three are pursuing their Ph.D. degree under her guidance. She is an External Evaluator of Ph.D. theses of other universities.

She has handled various important positions like In-charge Head and Chair Person of Board of Studies on Law of S.N.D.T Women’s University Law School Juhu, Mumbai; Member of Board of Studies on Business Law of Department of Business Law, Somaiya Vidyavihar,Mumbai; and Member of Advisory / Referee Board of various journals. She is a Member of International Council of Jurists, London.

She has more than 30 publications in national and international journals that include Refereed, UGC approved and UGC Care Listed journals, to her credit. She has been invited to Chair various sessions and also has presented more than 35 research papers in various national and international seminars and conferences.

Dr. Purnima Joshi is the Librarian of K. C. Law College since 2005. She started her career as a Microbiologist and has a Post Graduate degree in Life Sciences. Then she obtained graduate and post graduate degrees in Library & Information Science from University of Mumbai in the year 2002. She has done Ph.D. in Library & Information Science from University of Mumbai on the topic “An Assessment of Implementation of Copyright Laws by University Libraries in India”.

She started her career in Librarianship as a Librarian of an International School. Afterwards, she started working in an Architecture College and then joined K. C. Law College. Well acquainted with all library functions like acquisition, classification, cataloguing, circulation, and serials control and performing administrative and managerial tasks. She has been instrumental in starting the computerisation of the College Library. She has also started innovative library services and has developed a digital library website that is a one-point access to the free and subscribed legal e-resources. At present she is trying to create displays of QR Codes for the online legal resources for quick access.

She has more than ten publications in national and international UGC approved journals. She has attended many national and internationals seminars, conferences and workshops and has presented more than ten research papers.

Dr. Aashish Borse is an Assistant Professor at Kishinchand Chellaram Law College, Mumbai. A medical graduate in dentistry and a gold medalist in LL.B..in 2009. Thereafter, he pursued LL.M. in Criminal Law and Criminal Administration in 2011. He has qualified the UGC-NET in Law, Criminology, Forensic Science and Human Rights and Duties. He has a teaching experience of 12 years in a myriad of subjects like Law of Crimes, Interpretation of Statutes, Property Laws, Torts, Constitutional and Administrative Law, Jurisprudence, Legal Language, Civil Procedural Law, Criminal Procedure Code, Law of Evidence, Law and Medicine, Intellectual Property Laws, Law relating to Women and Children. He is also a visiting faculty for LL.M. at Department of Law, University of Mumbai. Subjects which he teaches
for LL.M course include Law and Social Transformation in India, Indian
Constitutional Law: New Challenges, Judicial Process, Legal Research and Methodology, Criminal Jurisprudence, Penal Laws, Constitutionalism, Pluralism and Federalism, Collective Violence and Criminal Justice System, Forensic Science in Criminal Investigation of Crimes, Administrative Process etc.

Dr. Aashish Borse has two book chapters and one research paper to his credit and is actively involved in Legal aid and legal awareness events of the College.

A Mathematics graduate and a rank holder in LL.M in Taxation Law from Government Law College, Calicut. She qualified NET in Law. She is Ph.D. holder in Law from SNDT Women's University, Mumbai. The title of the thesis was ‘E-Waste Management: Concerns and Challenges on the Fundamental Right to Life.’ She was a practising lawyer before joining the academics. She was practising in both civil and criminal litigations. She has a teaching experience of 15 years in subjects like Law of Crimes, Interpretation of Statutes, Property Laws and Legal Language, Civil Procedural Law, Criminal Procedure Code, Taxation Laws and Land Laws. She is also a visiting faculty for LL.M and is guiding LLM. Students for dissertation.

Various papers are published in reputed peer reviewed and UGC listed Journals to her credit. She has also presented papers in National Conference. she is handling responsibilities as a faculty in-charge of various committees and Clubs. She has actively participated in numerous conferences and seminars, where she has both published and presented research papers that have made significant contributions to her areas of interest. She trains the students for competitions like Moot Courts and Elocution. She has recently contributed a Chapter titled “The Legal Safeguard Mechanisms for Gender Equality and Human Rights in India” in Confluence Gender Dynamics in Development ISBN:978- 81-19079-73-5 published by Bharati Publications, New Delhi. – “An Introspection into the Gender Inequalities in Surrogacy Law in India”.

Ms. Sarita Samel is an Assistant Professor with more than ten years of teaching experience in Law. She completed Master's degree in Law through Goa University in 2002 and qualified in NET (Law) in 2013. She is an approved Teacher under Mumbai University from 04.10.2016. Presently she is pursuing Ph.D. in Law from the Research Centre at K. C. Law College.

Subjects taught: Ms. Sarita Samel possesses a broad range of expertise in various subjects within the field of law.Her proficiency extends to Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Environmental Law, Contract Law, Company Law, Public International Law and Human Rights, Law relating to Women and Children, Law & Medicine and Practical subjects.

Paper presentation/Publications: She has presented paper titled “Gender Justice in the light of recent Judicial pronouncements” in National Conference on “Reimaging and Resilience: A Transcend Societal Barriers for Envisioning Gender Equality in Global Era” held at K. C. C. Law College on 09.03.2020. She has also participated in conferences, seminars, workshops, FDPs, FIP and various other programs.

Membership: She is member of Women Development Cell, Grievance Committee, Admission Committee, Library Committee, Scrap Disposal Committee, Cultural Committee, Sindhi Association, Marathi Vangmay Mandal and Faculty in-charge of Environment and Nature Club (Green Club).

Awards /Achievements: She has been awarded gold medal for academic excellence during postgraduate studies. She has also been National-level Chess player.

Dr. Purba Ganguly is a motivating, dedicated, energetic and professionally driven to inspire students to pursue academic and personal excellence with over 13 years of exposure in teaching Labour Laws, Family Law- I, Family Law –II, Criminal Procedure Code etc. law subjects as well as Practical Training subjects also.

She qualified SET Examination for Assistant Professor held on 29 May 2016 and completed Ph.D. in Law in February, 2023 from Sandip University, Nasik on the thesis entitled “Prevention and Control of Child Sexual Abuse through Legislative Mechanism and Community Efforts- A Critical Analysis”.

Dr. Purba Ganguly worked as a member of the Syllabus Revision Committee for the Family Law - I subject. Recently, she published chapter titled “Gender Sentization: Need of the Hour” in the book titled ‘Confluence-Gender Dynamics In Development’ by Bharti Publications, First Edition 2023 ISBN:978-81-19079-73-5. Dr. Purba Ganguly also participated and presented paper with ISSN 2582-7359 with Impact Factor 6.325, Peer -Reviewed Journal in the National Conference sponsored by ICSSR – Western Regional Centre on Reimaging and Resilience: A Transcend Societal Barriers for Envisioning Gender Equality in Global Era on 11th ,2023 on the topic “Globalization and Human rights”.
