Thank you for visiting K.C. Law College Mumbai's website. A deep sense of
appreciation, gratitude and joy surge through my heart as I greet you through the columns
of this information brochure. This year K.C. Law College steps into the 56th year of its
establishment. As I reminiscence over the 56 glorious years of college's growth, my heart fills
with love, admiration and pride for the fertile soil which the college provides to the students
of LL.B.(3 yr.), LL.B. (5 yr.) and Diploma courses conducted by it. Affiliated to the Mumbai
University and approved by the Bar Council of India, KCL is preferred law college in Mumbai.
Law career is fast emerging as one of the most lucrative professions. Lawyers in
India are held in high esteem, because their services and legal advice are required to help
people. The Advocate has to become socially more relevant and technically very sound
if he has to survive and serve the needs of the society in the 21st Century. In the modern
era of globalization, law and its profession has acquired an important place. There is an
endeavour on our part to equip the students with changing trends in legal education and
legal profession to meet global challenges. The college organises many curricular and extra-
curricular activities to cater needs of students. Some of these projects include training of
police officers in forensic science and cyber crime Investigation, organizing visit of students
to Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament, National Human Rights Commission, and various
other legal institutions, organizing National Moot Court Competition every year, Exchange
programmes with other universities, Legal Aid programme, Lok Adalats, etc. The aim behind
all our co-curricular and academic activities is not only to impart theoretical knowledge but to
provide the environment for young minds to take wing.
I would like to gratefully acknowledge the hard work and efforts of the faculty
members,visiting faculty, non-teaching staff who have worked tirelessly with passion and
commitment and helped us to realize our goals. I would like to express my sincere gratitude
to our HSNC Board members, for being a constant source of inspiration and for their
unstinting support and guidance. The college has glorious past to cherish, commitment to the
present and we are looking ahead towards bright future.
Remember, be the best you can, and inspire others to do the same and become
inspiration for others. So I can say with confidence that your entry into this college, will be an
exciting one and it will be life changing experience. But don't just take my word for it. Come
to campus and see for yourself.
